Search strategy Three data bases were used to collect the data, namely, One Search, CINAHL and ProQuest. These data bases were searched for the terms such as ‘cardiac rehabilitation’, ‘quality of life,’ ‘benefits’, and ‘CHD’. Inclusion criteria were qualitative articles, written in English and published between the years of 2010 and 2017. Quantitative articles and articles written in non-English languages are excluded from this study. Moreover, this study focused only on adults, therefore the paediatric studies are also excluded from this study. To put that in perspective, that is two times more people than everyone in Atlanta, and every single one of their lives were taken in a third of the year. Such a terrible atrocity and no one accepted the blame. A small group of African leaders came together and blamed other countries such as the United States and the members of the United Nation’s for not intervening on the genocide that was occurring. Others, however, stated that it was not their place to get in the middle of a civil war. Looking deeper into this matter, some even say that the Rwandan government shares a portion of the blame for putting the two groups, the Hutus and the Tutsis, against each other. There has been a long, thick tension between the two for many years going back to when Belgium owned a colonial state known as Rwanda-Burundi. Rwanda and Burundi had two main ethnic groups, the Hutus and the Tutsis. While the Hutu s were greater in population, the Belgians favored the Tutsis for their physical advantages such as lighter skin. The Belgium military encouraged bureaucracy throughout the state and insisted the Tutsis have more power than the Hutus. This created a lot of tension between the two groups; especially so when you consider that the Hutus were 85% of the entire population. This information and process used is useful for the policy makers the study was intended for, but for practical management it is not specific in making recommendations for changes. This process could be used in more practical ways if the planning led to gathering data specific to the situation. The process of determining how to disburse funds depending on need could be useful in my organization. We have a fund to provide financial assistance to patients that are not able to pay for services. Looking at this study, it is important that we develop some methods to determine need based on other funding sources to more objectively determine funding.

How to Add Emphasis to Your Writing How to Add Emphasis to Your Writing How to Add Emphasis to Your Writing By Mark Nichol Some people consider italics and boldface type and quotation marks, when they’re used other than as dialogue markers to be just so many noisy bells and whistles. They often are, when they’re misused, but when they’re employed correctly and strategically, they send strong signals. The following rules apply primarily for books and magazines. 1. Italics Italics, based on handwriting script, serve several functions. They identify the titles of stand-alone creative works like books, films and television series, and paintings. But parts of compositions chapters, episodes of TV shows, short poems collected into anthologies, and the like are enclosed in quotation marks. They denote a word that would be stressed if spoken: â€Å"Stop the car I really have to go to the bathroom.† They indicate a word being introduced as itself, not as an idea: â€Å"Write, right, and rite are all pronounced identically.† Terms of more than one word are often enclosed in quotation marks, but this format may look awkward when used inconsistently alongside single italicized words, so self-referring phrases are often italicized as well (â€Å"it’s rank and file, not rank in file†). They also identify letters used as such: â€Å"The letter n on that sign is backward.† But letters compared to shapes (â€Å"turn right at the Y in the road†; â€Å"I watched a graceful V of geese fly overhead†) are set in roman type. (The lowercase term roman refers to the default type style.) The same is true for names of letters used in expressions (â€Å"dot your i’s and cross your t’s†). They signal the use of an unfamiliar foreign term: â€Å"The Roman legatus was the equivalent of a general in a modern army.† Note, however, that many words you might think are foreign have been adopted into English, that most welcoming of languages. Check your dictionary’s main section (not the foreign-words appendix); if a foreign term appears there, no italics are necessary. Also, foreign proper nouns need no emphasis. The rule of thumb for repetition of foreign terms is to italicize on first reference only, and leave them in roman type when they recur. Use your judgment, though, depending on the frequency and interval of recurrence. 2. Boldface Boldface lettering is best reserved for display type (chapter and section titles and the like). But they’re often used in textbooks and other learning materials to emphasize newly introduced terms, such as those that would appear in a glossary or be on a vocabulary quiz. Otherwise, this type style is the printed or posted equivalent of shouting. 3. Quotation Marks Quotation marks are often used as what are called scare quotes - emphasis markers that communicate novelty, irony, or a nontraditional use of a word or phrase. Writers overuse scare quotes. Except in special cases, they should trust readers to understand the unusual use of a word or phrase. The context in â€Å"I played dumb,† for example, precludes the need for a visual hint to the reader that the writer’s stupidity was an act, but â€Å"I had a ‘fit’ so she’d go away† may need a subtle clue that the tantrum was feigned. (Fit appears in single, not double, quotation marks here because they’re used within double quotes.) Newspapers traditionally omit emphasis because formatting it is time consuming, and many web sites have the same policy, but the many exceptions in both cases or using quotation marks in place of italics, as often seen on this site acknowledge that italics and judicious use of boldface and scare quotes aid comprehension. The basic message was a simple one and is as topical now as it was then: we need to govern ourselves better, together – European institutions and Member States. We can do this without changing the Treaty, without necessarily wait ing for the successful outcome of a new intergovernmental conference. Better governance together means active cooperation between the European Parliament, the Council, the Commission and the nat ional governments so that the people of Europe can see more clearly how they fit into major projects and into the EU's day-to-day business. One thing we have to acknowledge is the richness of the Community method. Compared wit h other systems of internat ional relat ions, it produces rules which can be applied in any nat ional context and which have the backing of legal certainty. But this very success raises further questions. There are a lot of complex issues at stake now in enacting good European legislat ion which is mindful of the principles of subsidiarit y and proportionalit y. People nowadays take an interest in the effectiveness of the rules handed down "from Brussels" and the way they are drawn up. The advent of a democratic conscience is strengthening the need for accountability and proportionality in the way powers vested in the European inst itutions are exercised. This need is expressed more especially in transparency, clarity and the willingness to stand up to scrutiny. What we have here, then, is a veritable ethical requirement. The resolut ion adopted by the European Parliament in November 2001 in the wake of the Kaufmann report strengthens this requirement still further. By clearly stressing the primacy of polit ical accountabilit y behind legislat ive act ion, the resolution brings out the need for more transparent, equitable and disputational consultat ion: it is the very qualit y of the legislat ion which is under scrutiny. Three communications for better lawmaking Inspired by this resolution and by the init ial react ions during the consultat ions on the White Paper concerning the "better law... ...ve is the indispensable counterpart to majorit y voting in the Council, in as much as the Commission's right of init iat ive guarantees vital minorit y interests when it comes to defining the general interest. In tomorrow's world, this balanced view of the general interest will be even more important with a view to ensuring its autonomy, and that is the very point of the action plan for better lawmaking. Similarly, the complementarit y between the inst itutions, which is at the very heart of the unique Communit y system, will mean having to consolidate this refocusing effort, as prompted by the governance reforms, and for reasons of accountability, proportionality, transparency and legal certainty. 7 PERIOD IF I WERE PRESIDENT ESSAY! If I were president, two of my main focuses would be reducing job cuts and going make more jobs. My first plan of action would be to reduce gas prices by not importing oil; I would drill it here in the U. S. That would slowly build us more money, meaning less job cuts. Also, we could reduce the mass production of sweets and would save money by not using factories as much, also reducing pollution in the air, which is one way to go green. Recently the company of IBM in San Francisco cut 1,500 employees.Getting fired for no reason is hard, harder than being fired for a reason. What Peter Arnett once said, â€Å"I am still in shock and awe at being fired. † This is what every one of those 1,500 employees were thinking. So, once we slowly earned enough money by keeping the candy production reduced and oil drilled in our country, we might be able to stop job cuts for good. Another act would be to raise cigarette prices. My reason for this action i s that if I did raise the price, it would give smokers yet another reason to quit smoking, lowering the death rate a little bit too.After that, I then would make marijuana legal for medical purposes, because marijuana can be healthy in certain cases, for example, if you have arthritis, it can help a bit, but it will only be legal if prescribed by your doctor, or citizens could easily use it for the wrong purposes. Also I would keep the tax level in the United States the same, because the government would need the money for the plans I would have just executed, and to keep your money balanced, similar to how wolves keep the deer population balanced.My last and final act would be trying to make peace with as many countries as I could, but at the same time still having war with the countries I haven’t made peace with. Then, with the countries I made peace with, I would trade with them goods with goods so both of us could easily get what we can’t reach. Plus, if I don†™t make peace with other countries, I would make or try to grow goods here in the US so we don’t have to import and waste time, gas, and money.While we are superpowers in the eyes of the world, I believe there are things that must be changed to reflect the fame and superiority associated with America in the international arena. If I were a president, I would strive to accomplish three major issues. To begin with, to ensure food security and better health care, second, would improve the education system of our country, third, I would ensure that our every American is secure. I have to admit that a government which is not able to feed its citizens has no reason of being in power.A healthy nation is very vital in sustainable development since a nation cannot develop when the citizen continuously suffer from different diseases. Most of the farmers in the rural areas are poor and therefore cannot manage to purchase heavy machines for mechanization. As the president I strive for the introduction of Rural off farm opportunities to enable even the poorest people to engage in and provide additional food supply.This mechanism will even provide financial assistance for the farmers, processing firms to be introduced in these places. This mechanism provides alternative sources of food and change in feeding habits. Another important aspect that is needed is facilitation of market access. To achieve this, I intend to ensure good governance. This plays an integral part in implementation of this intervention. Without good governance, the strategies cannot be fully implemented due to problems for instance corruption.In essence, where there is sufficient supply of food, the nation becomes healthy hence rapid economic growth. Ensuring substantial education for all citizens is the foundation of the rationality of a particular community. A learned society is easy to govern compared to a society full of ignorant individuals. To improve our education system, I have considered the following measures; Training colleges for teachers must be restructured to more extensive teaching mechanisms. This intends to have more qualified and motivated teachers.This I intend to achieve to restore the dignity of institutions and the teaching profession. Free forum for teachers where teachers and students can exchange their ideas, experiences, and information must be adopted. This is to create a conducive atmosphere for learnin g. As the President I will give direction to execute some reforms in the curriculum and examination system. Since education should form the whole person, it should be made relevant to the lives of the citizens particularly the students.The system of education should be more pragmatic rather than being abstract and examination should not be geared towards obtaining grades and papers but towards achieving the whole personhood. Since the world is dynamic, there a need to introduce the use of information and communication technology system in our schools. This is to facilitate and enhance coordination among different departments in our schools. This requires installation of computer software as well as connectivity facilities. Basically business policy is considered as a capstone, integrative course offered to students who have previously been through a set of core functional area courses. Glueck, development in business policy arose from the development in the use of planning techniques by managers. Starting from day-to-day planning in earlier times, management tried to anticipate the future through preparation of budgets and using control system like capital budgeting and management by objectives. With the inability of these techniques to adequately emphasize the role of future, long-range planning came to be used. Soon, long range planning was replaced b y strategic planning, and later by strategic management, a term that is currently used to describe the process of strategic decision making. Business policy, as defined by Christensen and others, is â€Å"the study of the functions and responsibilities of senior management, the crucial problems that affect success in the total enterprise, and the decisions that determine the direction of the organization and shape its future†. The problem of policy in business, like those of policy in public affairs, have to do with the choice of purposes, the moulding of organizational identity and character, the continuous definition of what needs to be done, and the mobilization of resources for the attainment of goals in the face of competition or adverse circumstances. Business policy tends to emphasize on the rational-analytical aspect of strategic management. It presents a  framework for understanding strategic decision making. Such a framework enables a person to make preparations for handling general management responsibilities. Meaning and the Nature of Management To understand strategic management. We need to have a basic understanding of the term management. The term management can be used in two major contexts. A) It is used with reference to a key group in an organization in-charge of its affairs. In relation to an organization, management is the chief organ entrusted with the task of making it a purposeful and productive entity, by undertaking the task of bringing together and integrating the disorganized resources of manpower, money, materials, and technology into a functioning whole. They range all the way from design of the organization, determination of the goals and activities, mobilization and acquisition of resources, allocation of tasks and resources among the personnel and activity units. They also include adoption of certain techniques, tools and methods for carrying on activities, through articulation of skills and efforts of organizational personnel in a unified manner and installation of communication and control system to ensure that what is planned is achieved. In this case, Nero is a French man married to Manisha, lives in the UK, graduated in 2006 as a French Pharmacist and though having applied for 10 work positions in the UK has not gotten any interview. Orphelia is Manisha’s great grandmother in the Philippines and desires to come to live in the UK with Manisha but there is fears UK border controls.4 Community Law asserts that the free movement of individuals is one of its fundamental freedoms. This is an essential element of European citizenship and has been described as the most important right for individuals under the Community Law. With r eference to worker, this freedom of movement has existed since 1957 when the European Community was founded and is documented down.5 This encompasses the right to seek employment in EU member State and also the right to work in the different member state. Moreover, the article provides the right to reside and remain in a member State on the prospect of looking for employment or actually working in the country. In conjunction, the article provides that equal treatment with reference to working conditions and employment should be provided to the worker in an attempt to make their integration into the Host State successful. This stipulation has been interpreted and generated into the European Court of Justice which embedded the worker concept. This illustrates that Nero being from French which is a member of the EU qualifies as a worker and should thus be bequeathed the rights stipulated in this article as pertains to the free movement of persons.6 The legal foundation of the right to free movement is anchored in the European Union Treaty that creates a market which is internal and lacking barriers as pertains to the free movement of people.7 This is especially with particular reference to the endorsement of the right that every EU citizen has to move freely within the EU territory. However, despite this provision of free movement, it has encountered resistance and there are still aspects challenging the intra-European mobility that are still being perceived in the EU countries. With reference to this treaty, the only free provision of workers that is provided is with reference to workers in the steel and coal industry and not the general workforce.8 With reference to the case presented, Nero has acquired free movement provision since he resides in UK with his wife Manisha yet he is French. However, with reference to his profession (Pharmacist) it is not included in the provision of free movement of workforce and hence explaining the current challenges Nero is fa cing is search of employment. With reference to Article 18 described above, the advice to Nero is that though there is no restriction of free movement for him, there no provision yet as pertains to his profession since it is not included under coal and steel hence explaining the difficulties in getting an interview of 10 applications he has made.9 In particular 10 Article 18 provides prohibition of any discrimination as
